Hakanaï : a performance exploring the ephemeral abstracts of movement interaction
As art takes on many forms, the interactive live performance of the one of a kind “Hakanaï “ is a catalyst in which it provokes the different aspects and levels of both the external and internal senses of our own interactive experiences of our space and time.
It takes the audience on an immersive experience exploring the imaginary, the spatial, the luminal and the ephemeral through the interaction between the performer’s movements and the images in motion. MOCO15.
I was mesmerized by the dancer Akiko Kajihara’s unordinary movements in which she broke the expectations of contemporary methods. A wide range of subtle, abrupt, controlled and volatile body expressions were included in the choreography, exploring the consequences of how the human, or subject, affects and be affected by what is present in the environment as represented by the abstract visuals projected on the cube. Watching Kajihara discover her relationship with the her environment is a resemblance of the everyday interaction of ourselves with our own surrounding space and how we choose to accept, affect or change it accordingly.
Since its debut in 2013, “Hakanaï “has been performed around the world and has received worldwide recognition for its diversified arrays of creativity in both its artistic and innovative aspects. The 40-minute interactive solo dance performance inside a transparent cube reproduces the interrelation of movements between the dancer and the black and white abstract projections of shape on the cube. Following the performance, the audiences are allowed to enter the cube and experience the movement/ visual interactions.
About the production company
Adrien M / Claire B
The company Adrien M / Claire B begin when Adrien Mondot first found the company in 2004. As a multidisciplinary artist, computer specialist and juggler, Mondot’s works focus on the exploration of motion at the crossing between the art of juggling and computing innovation. In year 2011, Claire Bardainne joined with Mondot and they restructured the company to become Adrien M / Claire B. Bardainne is a visual artist, graphic designer and stage designer. Graduated from the Ecole Estienne and the ENSAD in Paris, Bardainne’s research focus on the link between visual sign and space, as well as the exploration of the comings and goings between what is real or imaginary.
The performance is presented as part of MOCO’15, the 2nd International Workshop on Movement and Computing viagra espagne ordonnance. The performance is also listed in ISEA 2015, 21st International Symposium on Electronic Art.
